The end of human writing here. Or at least that’s what many people want you to believe. Is it true? Nope. Is it heading there? Maybe.

If you love to write, if you have made it a career or a side hustle, then you need to develop a plan so you aren’t left in the digital wasteland by AI. How?

Use AI’s Strengths to Exploit its Weaknesses

Machine systems have a major strength that we can leverage into a weakness: they lack emotion. This is a major strength! When it comes to writing for search engines, but as we all know, humans are emotional creatures.

1. Write emotionally intelligent content

If you apply leverage and structure your writing from a place of emotional intelligence, AI cannot keep up. Elizabeth Danziger, writing for Inc Magazine on 4 Habits of Emotionally Intelligent Writers gives an excellent working definition for emotional intelligence:

“Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize, understand and manage your own emotions as well as being able to understand and influence the emotions of others.” -Elizabeth Danziger
